I too would suggest RWD (since there is a difference in the suspension, even in AWD car with DHP adaptive dampers)

I think it's really important to love your car, so if the look and interior are going to make you happier in the F30, go for it !
This. I would never give up the interior ambiance in my car for say a stripper modern line F80 (if that existed), or even a loaded and outdated E92 M3. Happy with the power and now, almost exactly 3 years later, I still love the feeling of being in the driver seat with all its surroundings. And driving it of course :-)

I've got a 2014 335xi with MPPK and Dinan Stage 2 and Dinan CAI.

E92 M3 is more fun to drive hands down. Lots of power in the low to mid RPM. Nothing up top.

My 335xi is the opposite. Nothing special in the low to mid, but it's pretty fast up top. But plenty of usable power on the street

I prefer having the power low to mid RPM since thats where most of my driving is done.

Once my lease is up, I may be looking for an E92 M3 or check out the F80 M3....
I think you got your cars confused...the turbocharged 335 has way more low-midrange power and not much at the top where the naturally-aspirated E92 M3 has all its power above 5000 RPM. I had an E92 335i with Dinan S3, exhaust, intake, intercooler, and oil cooler modifications, and it was as fast as a friend's completely stock E92 M3. What I noticed about the M3 right away was that it was unimpressive until it hit 4000 RPM, and at 5000 it pulled VERY hard. Until the current F80's twin-turbo 6, all M-car engines were designed to be high-revving and normally aspirated, and develop all their power in the higher RPM ranges - just like racing cars.

Thank you all for the comments as this has made my decision much easier. Do you guys think its possible to get a 2014 335i M Sport with 20k miles for about 37k? I've had no luck in my search thus far.

They exist (i.e. I have one) not sure how common that is though, since many on that forum seem to load up the F8X with full leather interior and other comfort related options.

I can see why though. Each time I am in a tight parking garage it makes me think I maybe should have paid the $5k to get executive package + side view cameras. I then have to make myself feel better for cheaping out by doing a 3rd gear highway pull

Congrats on your delivery OP.

^What he said, I got DHP on my 2016 and it is AWESOME! Nice and cushy when im cruising on the highway and with the press of a button it feels like its on rails whipping it aroudn turns on the back roads. If you get an X-Drive, DHP is a must! Otherwise you will be stuck with the non-msport run of the mill x-drive suspension.
