I got the same problem. BMWHK said they would order the seat base and replace for me. Hopefully need to wait for 3 weeks. BTW, mine is black with red seat. |

Oh really?! I have never tried, as the sales said it is not compatible with S3. And I got an old iPhone 3GS, so keep it as a music storage device on car lor.

Had a little race with a red F30 335 sport line on my way back home at around 8pm last night (Sept 17) just before going into western harbour tunnel on HK side. it is significantly faster than my car, the N55 motor shows its superiority over the N20 ! there is no way my car can catch up with it in a straight line ! However, I eventually won the race, may be the other driver was too courteous !?

I agree when the traffic is busy but when there is a open road I can fully exploit a 335 or M3, maybe not a Ferrari !

However, I think our car need a firmer suspension and better brakes before the engine upgrade! |

From my understanding on this matter, I do not think you have a chance to claim the allowance back. The EFC policy stated that allowance will be given on two criteria. One is on the gas emission (no problem here) and the other is on fuel consumption as follow: The highlighted row indicates the weight group of the current South African assembled 328i sedan. As this 328's fuel consumption is better than the limit in this group, allowance will be obtained. However, according to the HK BMW office, the first lot of their 328s were assembled in Germany and they were found to be lighter than this weight group. That is why they were not qualified to get EFC allowance. On the other hand, you should feel better as these cars were lighter and made in Germany. Theoretically, they should be of better quality ! |

I am doing a survey on the rusting problems found in F30 sedans. Can you tell me whether your F30 was made in Germany or South Africa? |

I am using TMC external chip box, it can be installed/removed within 10 minutes. You can set from level 0 (original) to 9. Currently, I am using level 6. |

Wht I've heard from a rival German brand in HK is that the EPD have sole discretion regarding applications & there's no appeal process in case of disputes. There are quite a number of European cars that are eligible for EFV rebate but got their application turned down by the EPD. |
