Possible to code waste gate closure at cold startup?
Title says it all... I'm stock with Dinan axle back exhaust and love the sound. However, at cold startup it is a bit obnoxious during that warmup period.
Crazy question I know, but can it be done? |

Not without getting into the engine's ECU, which is not possible with E-SYS. The open wastegate at cold start allows the catalyst to heat up quickly (mixture is "rich") and prevents building boost on a completely cold engine, which isn't good for it. I have the same issue with my car, but it only lasts 30 seconds or so. This isn't something you'd want to tamper with.
