Why doesn't BMW offer the good stuff on GT's?
I find it annoying that one can't order certain options on certain models.
When I ordered my 335iGT, I could not order a full track package with the uprated brakes. Neither were the LED lights available. The list goes on. I think BMW should follow Porsche in that virtually any option is available on any model. Just because I'm not ordering a 7 series doesn't mean I might not want some the goodies on my 3 series! |

It's not very successful in the US, as frankly most US drivers aren't wise enough to see its worth. They either go for coupes, sedans or SUVs. It does much better in Europe. Check out the build options on the UK or German BMW sites, they're far more extensive.

My dealership told me the reason they could offer me such a good deal on my GT, is because BMW are trying to get 5000 GT's on the road in the UK!

I know it's not a popular USA model but still. How much trouble to offer the M engine bits, M brakes, LED lights, & even the M exhaust? Except for the exhaust, I would guess the other parts are common over a range of models. Furthermore although GT's are relatively uncommon at my dealer, they go through a lot more of them than Z4's and some other very modest sellers that BMW seems to support better.

LED's have already been spotted on the GT LCI caught testing. I'd also expect the Dynamic Handling Package will go away as it did on the F30 and be replaced by the Track Package. I'm looking at the GT or another sedan to replace my current one. At this point though I will wait for the GT LCI before I decide which way I go. http://www.autoblog.com/2015/11/04/b...-gt-spy-shots/

I'm excited for the future of the GT. It's going to get much more sportier and sleeker. For the 2018 model that comes out. I think they are going to give the 3 GT a 2nd chance, and a good one at that.
But it was stupid of them to remove the M Brakes from the 2016 models, when the 2015 and 2014 models had them available. I'm very happy with my car. It's fast too, even with the extra weight. My daughter says to me" can you lower the radio, I wanna hear the engine", lol can't make this sh*t up. |

This is one of the main reasons why I will be going back to a sedan. When I ordered my 14 you could not get anything on it. I had to trial and error aftermarket wheels and tires and take tons of measurements. Places like discount tire and tirerack had no recommendations. Good thing we have a lift. Will be ordering f36 soon. Wheels will be for sale soon

When shopping for my GT anything that made sense on a practical family car was available. If a practical family car isn't what you want then the GT is probably not for you.

I just leased a 2016 428i Gran Coupe. When shopping around I did see a the 3-series GT, but immediately favored the 428i GC. I liked the styling much more.
I'm still rather new to BMW's, but maybe it's possible buyers like me are favoring the 4-series GC over the 3-series GT and so it doesn't get much love? |

I definitely favor the gc. Its styling is wonderful. GT I let my wife order with bmwna but not this time. I wanted panamera let her pick gt but it doesn't even feel like a bmw. This is my fourth bmw and I would like to go tesla but just cant pull trigger yet. Maybe when this lease is up.

http://www.bmwblog.com/2015/11/01/bm...r-v803-wheels/ I test drove the 4GC before buying and it was clearly better. I found it almost exactly similar to a 3-sedan (F30). In fact I wonder why people would buy a sedan when 4GC exists? I think it looks as good if not better and it's good infinitely better storage due to the hatch. With that said, I think 3GT knocks one out of the park due to its rear seat space, so no regrets. |
