You can get almost all these items at getbmwparts.com at basically the rebate price on a daily basis and not just Black Friday cyber weekend lol.

But... for around 500$ new, not a bad deal for OEM part

Edit: I'm not buying parts for other people, just for myself. If I sell it used in few years for 400$, still a good deal.

I was looking at the "incorrect" discount too. Looking a bit closer, I don't think the math is wrong- the final column is "rebate amount" not the final price of the item.

Another way to make things look cheaper. Fail BMW.

The CF Engine cover is $798, NOT $532. $532 is the discount amount from the MSRP.

I was looking at the bike for my 4 year old nephew, and thought for $108 it's not a bad deal, but the bike is actually $178.

None of this crap is worth a crap.

Wow, such BS. Would chalk it up to the way europeans list prices, but I think it's a psychological sales tactic.

It's weird, for $532, I might have taken a flyer on the engine cover (it does look pretty sweet), but now that I know it's $798--no way! lol.

I didn't see this mentioned yet....

So the rebate amount is 40% off MSRP - yet, when you buy something on ShopBMWUSA.com they give you your local center's pricing. At some dealerships, the price of the part is MSRP - so you're stuck.

However, some dealerships have aggressive internet pricing, so the price of the part is not MSRP, but some amount lower. When you purchase the part at the lower price, the rebate that comes back is the stated amount on the form, not some 40% off calculation of what you paid.

For example - the LSD is priced @ $2500 with a $1000 rebate.
However, my local center - BMW of Fairfax shows a price of $2090 when I add it to the cart on ShopBMWUSA.com. You should still get the $1000 rebate, so your cost for the part is not $1500, but instead $1090...which I think is a great deal on the LSD.

I didn't actually buy anything this year, but I purchased several items during last year's 50% rebate sale and it worked exactly how I described above. I got a bunch of thing - paid less than MSRP and received a check worth 50% of the MSRP - so I think the deal is still good this year, even with 40% off instead of 50%

Ok I took the bait and got a manual LSD. If it ends up being ~$1000 it's gonna be a deal.
