Thanks for posting this; just renewed even though ConnectedDrive and RealTime Traffic don't expire until after next year. (the rest expire in 2023 or 2024) For under $100 bucks, I'd like to keep all the services and per BMW, it is 100% refundable if anything were to happen and you need to cancel. Fuel prices, News, Weather and traffic are all used on a regular basis and even though there are workarounds, I'm okay with this cost.

The only service I found utterly useless was the Concierge service....never even used it nor would I ever. (Had OnStar concierge too and never used it in 5+ years)

If I want RTTI I just look through my windshield.

I did just renew mine. I only take two, maybe three trips a year where RTTI can come in handy to avoid delays, which had me on the fence at $50. For $30 why not.

Interesting comments as always $30 doesn't break the bank and it's good for long hauls, especially when using the GPS. But yes, we get nickeled and dimed way too much for this crap!

ARTTI is what we pay for ->
http://content.bmwusa.com/microsite/.../FAQ_ARTTI.PDF

Works just as well as Google regardless of opinions and has saved my ass a number of times from being stuck in jams

No one HAS to pay for anything and can just use their phone....simple. Others have retrofitted to gain this ability; to each his own.

More info:

Per BMW's recently announced Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information (ARTTI) service, INRIX is collaborating with the industry's innovation leader to integrate "cloud-based" premium traffic information and driver services that leverage "local knowledge" to improve routing, fuel economy and provide more accurate travel times. For example, INRIX's unique analysis of the traffic and travel time of impact of stop signs and traffic light phases on arterials or a major local event like a professional baseball game helps ensure BMW owners' travels are faster, easier and, particularly at rush hour, more predictable.

INRIX combines traffic information from its crowd-sourced network of connected vehicles nationwide with insights from hundreds of public and private sources to provide BMW with a real-time traffic service covering one million miles of highways, interstates, arterials and city streets across North America.

BMW's Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information provides unprecedented level of insight to BMW owners. Customers will receive better traffic information than available previously and in a shorter amount of time. ARTTI has improved precision and is able to determine differences in traffic conditions down to smaller road segments than ever before possible. ARTTI will be incorporated into the latest onboard navigation system which will be standard on all 2013 7 Series models as well as the 550i Sedan, 550i Gran Turismo and ActiveHybrid 5 Sedans. The new navigation system, with ARTTI, is offered as an option on the 2013 528i and 535i Sedans, 535i Gran Turismo as well as the ActiveHybrid 3.

I have to say the whole "renewal process" wasn't very user friendly. This is the page I logged into and I'll try to grab a screenshot of where the options are located - https://connecteddrive.bmwusa.com/cd...n?locale=en_US

It's under store on the left, took a screenshot -> https://1drv.ms/i/s!AkHKmnTUFIO1g6hwiS1l9a1LgMDmfQ

Sorry, I deleted the post after I found the answer in the "small print". You have to be within 1 year of expiration and my subscriptions go till 2020.

Thanks anyway.

Just out of curiosity, is connected drive worth another $30? or are you renewing, just because?

I didn't have it when I purchased my car so I'm just wondering what additional benefits come with adding this service?
