Thanks for the tip I'll have a closer look; I was of the opinion of getting a full set of coilovers as shorter springs may incur premature wear on shocks as I understand, but price difference is a big factor here.

Yes also, if springs are too short (lowering by more than 25-30mm) damper's stroke is reduced so dampers won't work effectively, making the car's road manners worse instead of better.

Birds springs drop is 15-20mm and I can confirm they work very well with stock adaptive dampers.
