328i - Launch Control - 2nd gear wheel spin?

I coded launch control for my 328i a month or so ago, and have launched it a few different times. Each of those times, slight wheel spin occurred in first gear and no wheel spin occurred in second.

I installed a magnaflow cat-back exhaust yesterday and now I notice some wheel spin when shifting into second. I launched twice and the wheel spin occurred both times.

I doubt the exhaust gave me enough horsepower to spin the tires in second, but something seems to be different. Maybe the cooler temps have an impact?

Maybe less weight on the ass end with the new exhaust installed?

It depends on the setup, but my car being a RWD 6mt had wheelspin in 2nd gear bone stock with the summer tires.

On dry pavement going straight? Either you are driving on ice or you have the most powerful 328i in the world, because my 435i 6MT with 381 WHP has absolutely no wheelspin in 2nd gear on the stock Bridgstone RFTs. I don't count chirping the tires while shifting to 2nd "wheelspin."

Mine does too when using LC. 328i, RWD, Bridgestone RFTs, with bolt ons.

Gasp! Doesn't mean your 435 is slower, it just means it hooks better.

Maybe I'm not getting wheel spin then if you're not counting the 2nd gear chirp.

LOL

Completely dry pavement going straight.

It's on the 1-2 shift that I would get the spin. It was more than a chirp(I could chirp into 3rd with snow tires), but not excessive wheelspin either.

381 WHEEL hp???? Are you really sure?
With a presumed drivetrain loss of 15%, it means you would have 448hp at the crank!!!
Sorry, but with an N55 it seems a little (but just a little) overrated... Maybe for this reason you don't experience wheelspin in 2nd gear

Of course it isn't stock!!!! But if you think you could reach 450hp at the engine with a piggyback (because it's impossible reflash the last N55), sorry, but you believe in ghosts!
Anyway everybody is free to believe to have 600hp under the bonnet of his 35i

I think you should stick to your endless professional critique of the 339 vs. 340 M Performance Exhaust since that's your area of expertise.

Ok, I'm ready to learn because this isn't my area of expertise. Please, tell me something about tuning of your N55
