M3/M4 Donor car, easily swapped parts...
Just for fun, simple hand tools and a garage. What would you swap assuming the same paint code.
hood / bonnet? trunk / boot? you think that CF strut tower brace would work? ....................... |

The only thing worse than not being able to afford an M-car is to dress a non M-car up to look like one. Sorry.

Nothing wrong with borrowing some nice parts from big brother. Just don't go around wearing a badge that says M3 on the back. |

Thanks. My Honda S2000 has a CR front lip and a CR rear wing. I don't call it a CR or have CR badges on it BUT they sure as hell help when on the track AND they fit like OEM because they ARE OEM. It's called OEM +. If I sold my S2000 I'd have bought an M4. Additionally, our soon to be ED 435i M-Sport fully loaded would have bought a stripped down M3/4 but who wants that? |

I thought of the same thing the OP did when I saw the M at the dealership. |

ha, not a knock on M Sports. I have a 335i RWD MSport myself that I absolutely love. Just trying to defend a bit of dress up as I don't see anything wrong with adding 'real' ///M parts to an F30 or similar variant. Just wouldn't go around telling people I drive an M3/4.

The engine should swap right over. Along with the transmission. And brakes. And body panels. Come to think of it...every single part can feasibly swap over since both cars share the same chassis.

Why?
If someone put a gun to my head I would take the blue/red stitching steering wheel to replace my MSport black stitching |

I know what my car has under the hood. I'm not pretending anything and I'm certainly not talking about fake badging. (I will do a badge delete though) Like I said in my first post it's all just for fun. If you're a purist, that's fine too. Last edited by G30 B58; 07-23-2014 at 05:59 PM.. |
