Wow! These upgrades look great!

Looks like there may be another option to upgrade screens that is coming out soon...

Hmm, interesting - a 3rd party screen fully supported by BMW?

Hi Mate just a quick question do you can get a map view on the split screen on the right. I had that option in my e90 but can't seem to see it in the f30?

the only options i get is

Arrow view
Position
On-board computer
Trip computer
Entertainment details
EfficientDynamics
ECO PRO tips

Many thanks

Very interesting, hopefully we can see a video of the interface, it?s a little pricier than other Android screens, however if it?s backed my BMW it must mean it?s top quality.

Now the big question for me is , will this be available in Canada .

Will have to give them a call in the morning.

Hi mate, no same as you only get the map on the left side. It looks like there is only a select few options to appear on the left side.

Regards,

Kev.

Unfortunately this didn´t work on a F36 with EntryNav, I always get "No signal", so it seems the pinning from the HSD cable is different, or there something else.. I also tried to code every single mode (8,8",10,2", flap display, small display, breites display etc.), nothing worked, "no signal" was still on the screen. Has anyone experienced something like this before?

When was your car made? What screen did you get (LCI or non-LCI)? Take a photo of the cable if you can.

Be sure to double-check the connection - the connector should be the same on both screens, so the cable should plug in without problems.

The display is from 07.2016 - 65506822626, so is it LCI now?

You have a newer display than the two that have been sucessfully retrofitted (see this post for pictures):

6550 9292248 = pre-LCI display (slightly blue tint), tested and working ok
6550 9387453 = LCI display (different voltage), tested and working ok
6550 6822626 = newest (your) display, not tested yet

According to BMW, your display supersedes both older displays, however, it seems it doesn't work with HU_ENTRYNAV. Your best choice is to get one of the older displays off eBay and test it out. If it works, the current display you have is incompatible with HU_ENTRYNAV for sure.

EDIT: It looks as thought the newest display is compatibe with cars produced from 07/2016, which your car is not.

8.8" CIDs from 0716(MY2017) are APIX2 and 12V. Pre-LCI and LCI (MY2016-only) are APIX1/9V.

A voltage regulator and coding for APIX2 are required for the CID to work with APIX1 OEM HU.

My car was made in the first half of 2016. Can I use the number 65506822626 screen? How can I encode if I can use it?

I have 2016 F30 LCI with HU_Entrynav. I just want to buy screen instead of HU.
Do I need to do a separate coding for the split screen function in the menu?
Also I have a connected drive. Can i use widgets. Does it appear in the menu?
