I live in Florida and it's been raining a bunch these past 3 weeks. This past Saturday I noticed that the carpet in my driver Footwell and rear driver side Footwell was soaking wet. I vacuumed all the water and seemed to have gotten it dry. The next day I noticed it was wet again and it seemed to be around the gas pedal in the front and in the rear it was wet around the little vent where the floor air comes out. I also noticed that under the little vent thing there was water puddled up. There is no leaking at all anywhere on the passenger side front or rear footwell.

At first I thought the water was coming through the little hole in the back of the hood where you feed the JB4 OBDII wire but I covered it more with duct tape but there's still a leak.

I will say thought that my windshield cowl is dry rotting and cracking but it's been like that for a while now and I never had a leak.

Anyone know what this problem could be?

Not to oversimplify the problem here, but have you made sure your car's drainage holes are free and clear? Water can get rerouted in bad ways if a passage is blocked.

Do you know where exactly these holes are?
