2/12 Update - BMW CCA Letter that I got. SUCH BS. Take a peek

2/12 I posted an update in the last post, take a look. It was all a mistake.

Hello everyone, I've been a CCA member since October 2011 not too long but pretty decent, smart people know the only reason you really sign-up is for the vehicle rebate program specifically if you lease because you can get a rebate every three years.

So I picked up my 335 GT October 23 and I sent out the appropriate paperwork to CCA about a month later. I spoke to somebody on the phone who said that they received my paperwork, everything looks good, please expect a check before February for $500.

Now today I received this unfortunate, disgusting letter. Mind you the only program I used was my ultimate driving event which was a $1000 voucher. I can't wait to hear back from them to see what they say. Because why is my vehicle an "executive allowance vehicle", I'm no one special

EDIT: This was a brand new car, ordered to my specs, shipped on the boat and all...

That sucks. I'm not sure what an executive allowance vehicle is? Sounds like a pre-owned (manufacturer employee loaner) or demo car.

Did you order your car new from the factory?

Anyway, you should know that it's not BMW CCA paying the rebates, it's BMW. Any beef you have is with BMW; the club just passes the paperwork along.

Yes of course I absolutely understand Bmw writes the check, I received two of them already the past 5 years, this was a brand-new vehicle, 0 miles, from an authorized BMW dealership in New Jersey

It may be that a mistake was made.

I lost out because I had a lapse because my credit card on file had a different expiration. A $1000 error at the time.

I have ensured to pay ahead 5 year programs from now on. Just got a check from my X5.

Umm, I read the thread. You didn't indicate. If it was brand new, then they clearly made a mistake. Send them an email...

I'm curious about this...
First, WTF is an Executive Allowance Vehicle? The dealership above all others
should have an answer to this.
Secondly, let's say its NOT a mistake as tturedraider is guessing.
Is BMW cracking down and formulating a new kind of "cannot be combined with any other offer" policy?

Let's hope not...I mean first its 2% less on European Delivery, now this?

That's what I immediately thought, I'd be curious to know if this incentive/program was used.

This might have to do with you getting it thru a 3rd party leasing company, thats probably why to be honest.

They usually work with fleet managers for their leases and who knows what kinda weird shit they do to lower your prices.

I could be wrong I thought that's how.

If he got that much of a better deal over a dealership directly then this 500 should be a wash anyway.

FYI, if you are a USAA member, their rebate is always the same as the BMWCCA, and less paperwork/restrictions. The dealer just fills out a form with your USAA membership number, and the rebate shows up on your deal sheet. Can't be combined with BMWCCA, so I just let my BMWCCA membership lapse.

USAA pays you to buy their insurance (it's member-owned, so you get a dividend check every year, often sizeable), but BMWCCA charges you dues. Easy choice for me. Also, I know it's sacrilege around these parts, but I can't stand "Satch's" writing style in Roundel.

I also got a disappointing letter. I leased my 2014 328i, submitted the required BMW CCA paperwork, and was denied my rebate. Apparently, I got $500 off sticker for being a USAA member. BMW CCA said if I got that discount, I could not get their rebate. I scoured their paperwork, including all the fine print, and couldn't find anything that said that. I was very disappointed and almost cancelled my membership.
