US Mill Works Tow Hook License Plate Mount

Is anyone running the US Mill Works tow hook license plate mount on an F30 M sport with the front parking sensors? If so, any issues with the license plate mount interfering with the sensors?

I have the lightened quick release and it works perfect. I believe you may have to mount the plate upside down.

I've got one! Make sure you get the one that the website says, I believe its the lightened one with quick release and then just follow the instructions on the site and you'll be good to go.

Bought the standard kit for $79. I have the parking sensors on my 340i. I'll post some pictures once it comes in, hopefully this week.

Thanks everyone - I appreciate all the feedback!

I have a few more questions for those who have the mount:

1. Does it stay tight?
2. Is there any risk of it scratching /marring the bumper in any way?

I've had mine for two years and its still tight and stays straight, I've had zero issues with it so far
If you mount it right there should be no chance it'll scratch or even touch the bumper, but if you're worried you can always buy some foam tape kind of thing and stick it on the back of the plate, that way if it were to move for some reason you don't have to worry

No issues with mine staying straight either. You will actually want to use the plate attached to the tow hook adapter for leverage to really tighten it down. Then loosen up the screws slightly, level the plate and then tighten back down. Hope this makes sense but you will probably get it once the parts are in hand. I also applied foam tape on the back just in case.

Installed for almost 2 years now with no issues with it moving around. I almost exclusively use drive through car washes too. No parking sensors so I can't comment on that.

No parking sensors here but eagerly waiting for mine too now that I upgraded bumpers. Went with Stnd for Msport.

Just curious on the tow hook strategy,... Wouldn't you rather have the plate centered for symmetry? Looks kinda odd offset.

yep but this is one of the only practical ways to mount a front plate without putting any holes in the front bumper. If you want to center mount you'll have to either drill straight through the front of the bumper, of get something like the skene bracket where u still have to drill holes but "underneath".

I have the lightened one for PDC / quick release and standard bumper. No problems with PDC.

Foam tape is a really smart idea, I'm going to do that tomorrow! Any particular one you used to hold up with the elements? With the quick release on/off bracket, this will be a 20 second deal.

Ok, so you can take it off for car shows etc?

I live in a state that requires front plate and I generally lease so the bumper holes never bothered me if that is the cost of having it centered.

Here ya go. Took about 10 mins to install. Best $80 mod ever spent.

I think the way it is mounted would trigger PDC.

I was thinking the same as well before purchasing it. Not having any issues with triggering PDC so far.
