I think what you're looking for is a re-styled 3er. I mean if the 3-series is BMW's compact sedan, then what category will this be in?

You got skills in photoshop my friend

Looks better than the coupe...

But even with extra door...realistically I wouldn't be able to lug friends around in those back seats...unless they were amputees.

Yeah once the 1 Series is restyled, I will look at it as an option. Especially since I'm sure (by that time) the new 3 Series will be even bigger which would be too big for my tastes.

Currently I think it's cruel to have friends ride in the rear of the 1 Series...

I must say that is the ugliest thing I have ever seen.... If you want a big car get the 3 or 5 series.

A 1 Series sedan does not make any sense IMO. The five-door hatchback is alright but no sedan, that's what the 3 Series and 5 Series are for.

First off, nice photoshop work.

I really hope the 1 resists the size creep that the 3 has experienced. As for the backseats on the 1, well I just treat mine as a two seater and consider the backseat for children and emergencies only.

Heh. You think the size creep is bad on the 3 series?

kill it kill it! that thing is ugly... if you want four doors, by a 3 series... who cares about the back seat ppl... tell them to drive their own cars if its too small...

the 1 is perfect the way it is... unless they want to put a v8 in it

As if the 3 series sedan had enough leg room... I can't see myself riding in a 1 series sedan without my knees stuck in the driver's back.

I think the idea is great. In fact, now I almost NEED a compact 4dr Bimmer. Wait...

Seriously though, I love the compact 4 dr look. It looks better on the 1 than the coupe and I think the same on the E30s.

Looks good, but kinda like a limo. The front door is too long right now; looks the same as the coupe's plus a rear door. If you can cut the front door down in length about 20-25% then I think this would be quite an attractive car, though I'm not sure about marketability.

Perhaps photoshop the door combo off a 5-door hatch?
