As the proud owner of both an E46 M3 and F30 328, I say keep up the great work! Don't let other's insecurities dampen your enthusiasm. Looking forward to seeing the final product. I'd LOVE me some wide fenders on my F30!
Everyone should quit pretending that every piece of bodywork and trim from the M cars is somehow there for function rather than to doll the car up and make them look fast. The reality is BMW dresses their M cars up with flashy clothes to differentiate them from non-M cars, but many of these "upgrades" are purely cosmetic. Case in point: the fender vents on my E46 M3. They look really awesome and are a distinguishing feature of that car, but are there just for looks. I've not had a fender overheat yet! My point is that if we collectively are willing to give BMW a pass on adding on bits just to make their cars appear more performance orientated, we ought to be supportive of fellow forum members who take the time to document their mods and post them to this forum, especially when those members have a history of tasteful modifications and active participation here. That's really what a community is, after all. |

I understand what the M folks are saying here but it would be some poser shit if he badged it with m3 emblems and all that stuff.....I get it. But if it's a salvage tittle, m's are expensive in his country, and he wanted AWD I don't see anything wrong with this epic project. Creaminz' car is sick particularly bc he didn't rebadge it with m3 stickers and he shaved the fender vents. One of the forums best rides by far.
I think most folks don't understand that m3/4's cost exponentially more outside of the U.S. Price alone justifies a project like this. OP well done and can't wait to see the results! Particularly with our cars which 95% of owners don't do their own mods or chose to do extensive stuff like this! Good shit man! |

Few comments:
1. When people get their panties in a bunch about putting on an M badge, it should be expected that the same people are going to whine about this! 2. I support the original poster's decision to build an M clone if he wants one. It's his car, and seems to have a valid reason for his direction. Go for it mate!

Maybe someone from BMW will see this and think that we need an xDrive (with a real sport suspension of course) M3/4

Why not just buy an M3?? I priced out both and for myself it's a simple choice... Hell a buddy of mine bought a 335 loaded up for a bit over 60k!! Good luck though I admire your dedication

This is EPIC! Thanks for documenting the progress of your build. As far as the guys that think its "shameful" , or "stupid" to build a M3 body on your f30, they need to STFU and get there heads out of there asses. He's not slapping a m3 badge, he's obviously spending a ton of money on his car. As members of one community our comments should be constructive. I'm not saying support every members mod, but don't bash the guy for doing something thats not to your liking.

Following this and cannot wait to see the build. I wish people would read the entire thread instead of just spouting their mouth about real M vs not.
I admire the work of someone who can do this work themselves whether it costs the same, less or more then a new M, more then the person who writes a check and sits back and rips them for it (who probably could not change their own tire if they had a flat). I also would love to see an AWD M3, the torque on these cars are getting so massive that they are becoming a handful. If they made an AWD M6 I would buy it in a second, I am considering the Alpina version just because it has AWD. Good luck man and good work!

Are surprised all the interest on my car. And astonished all who speak negatively about the building, that you care about it is amazing. As I've written previously so I needed a awd, therefore I build this .If I wanted an M3 f80 so I buy it.
To you proud M owners who feel you are being stepped on, I have an M3 e90 which is original and C63 AMG which is original. And if I'm going on a track to run, I take my 1M clone with 550ps. I do this because I like it, not to be a wannabe M3 owner. To you waiting images, it comes soon:-) Her is som Pictures of my 1 series |
