I disagree -- it really depends on what kinds of roads you drive. If I cruise on a highway or even take one 100mi highway trip per tank, then it drags my average up to 26-29, like my most recent tank.

But if I just shuttle people around for lunch for a tank, 21 is fairly typical. I'll post my fuel economy from my A4 2.0T sometime. It's 14 minimum, 21 average over 22k miles.

Dunno - and I've only put Ethanol Free Gas in it as well which, according to other posts, should net me a +10% gain - and I throw it in into ECO probably 85% of the time.

In Hawaii my AH3 milage has gone down by about 2mpg now that the A/C is working harder (26mpg instead of 28mpg, 80% city). But I drove about 60 miles today, mostly freeeway at 50-60mph (speed limit here) and on a fresh tank it's showing 32mpg.
I drove aggressively for the last 1/2 tank, again mostly city (average speed showing 27mph) and came in about 24.5mpg.
You might check tire pressure-mine were low at one point (26psi) and when I brought them up to 32psi the milage came up about 2-3mpg.

When. I am in Eco I get high 30's low 40's. but your in a stop and go area. Most of my travel around town is on the parkway. But it's hard to believe something isn't wrong. Like I said I drive like an idiot and get 8 more MPG than you.

I tried this but all mine does is set off the alarm

The manual says hold for 1 second but when I do I don't hear anything turn on and I dont see anything in the dash light up to confirm that anything is happening...

Do you have more than 7% battery charge when you stop the car?

As long as you do, pressing the button for around 2 seconds should start the fan icon blinking in your climate control LCD. You'll first hear the fan come on (mostly just a high pitched whine from outside), and then a clunk and the AC compressor will come up as well.

Last time I tried to do it there was 20% battery life and I kept setting off my alarm trying to use it...

As for suspension, I don't see they have specific one for AH3 coz the weight is definitely not just a 335. Rear is heavier comparing a 335.

The above EB blue hybrid is a beauty. I had to remove all my emblems. Was a bit much for me.
I'm thinking intake, downpipes, exhaust, FMIC and hopefully a tune to keep from throwing codes and add a little power.
We'll see what I can throw together.

Hi, this is my first post and I am eagerly awaiting delivery of my new 2013 AH3 in a couple of weeks.

I am curious what deals people are getting for the AH3 lately... I paid $1,500 over invoice. I've seen others on this forum who have done better, but I figured there's also a benefit from buying from my local dealer.

I also got the $3,500 Eco-credit of course, so I ended up $2k under invoice... and overall I think the AH3 is still a great deal, relative to the 335 and all the extra features discussed previously.

PS - I am also very glad I bought when I did since it appears that grey leather is no longer offered in the Sport line for 2014... what are they thinking?

I saved a ton. Got $3500 $1750 and $4000 off msrp. $9250 OFF. $1500 over invoice is a bit steep for a car they are having a hard time selling. But no matter what you pay your going to love your car.

JParker82, thanks for the info... wow, you got a great deal!

I probably should be been more hard-nosed in my negotiations, but you are right, I have no regrets. I actually did Euro delivery on my AH3 in June, so at least I saved another $4k that way (not counting plane tickets)

Car just arrived at Port Hueneme on Aug 23, so hopefully my CA will be calling me any day now...

The AH3 is a fantastic car. Mine is Sapphire Black with the Grey interior-very sharp. I went with the sport line for the seats. Currently averaging 27mpg with 80% city driving.

you need to get it checked for sure. For last 15k miles, my worst mpg was 26.6 and the best was 34.7; avg 28.5.

so..has anyone complained about this? when i brought mine in to the dealership at 15K for engine oil services and showing this to them, they cannot honor it on 2013 model, even though we have EXACTLY same engine.. 7K diff miles...wouldn't it hurt our engine and other components long term wise??

I am now getting less than 20mpg, 100% city, 98% of the time in Eco. I'm almost ready to give up the Ecopro setting to see if the mpg get better.

Wow...I thought mine was bad...average of 21.6mpg (calculated by hand) over 3 fill ups and 800+ miles...have been having some fun but nothing too crazy. The weird part is I feel like I'm in electric mode quite a bit so I was thinking I would be a bit higher...hopefully its just breaking in or something...still love this car though!

Ugh...that sucks, how many miles does the car have? Have you changed out the break in oil? Are you just going by the car computer or monitoring your fill-ups with Fuelly.com? Even though eco mode might help, I'd imagine right foot behavior will be the most impactful.

Go to the fuelly page and select your car, then click a small window to the right which says "share your MPG", it will give you a bunch of html type crap that you can copy and paste into your sig.
