Post Video: Designing the New BMW 3 Series (F30) Sedan

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Have a look at the designing process of the new BMW 3 Series (F30) together with the designers. They explain the ideas behind the car-design. Karim Habib (head of exterior design at BMW), Christopher Weil (exterior designer), and Christian Bauer (interior designer) explain the process of bringing the F30 3 series to life.

From 2D sketch, to 3D clay mockup and computer modelling, see how the F30 3 series goes from idea to product.

So where was a poorly thought out leading edge hood shut line in the design process? BMW makes it appear that design is such a careful process and then crap like that happens. Not one of those designers thought to bring the shut line down to the headlights and grill where it would be invisible?

I don't want to open a seperate thread for it, so I hope you would not mention when I post it here:

I tried to connect the head lamps with the kidneys in a different way than the BMW designers managed to do that with the F30.
I think this is the best place to ask for some critique
(The sketch is done with a ball-pen and then rendered with Photoshop).

If you want to see more sketches be free to visit my blog : http://gogosketching.blogspot.com/

And sorry if I am spamming right now.
