Downpipe question
Looking for a downpipe for my 2015 435ix. I was on vrsfs website.
I was completely shocked to see the downpipe has a flex section. Thst alone was shocking. I then saw the price of $500. Am I doing something wrong here. Am I seeing the right pipe? It includes a flex section??? What's the most popular downpipe for these cars? |

I purchased most of my parts from Mike, definitely the guy to see, fast and always helpful. Not a paid advertisement either lol I have a 435i with vrsf downpipe, love it! The shop who installed it used an o2 extension, so far its been 3 months with no check light.

i do . i am also searching obsessively. what i have learned is that the platform is on the cusp of a big evolution with the obd flash tunes coming out so old information isnt the greatest info. I am seeing a sharp difference of opinion from the users (they like the bm3 and the mhd) and the vendors (they still love the jb4). I am getting great info from both. I have heard some very intriguing feedback regarding the jb4 and how good it works despite the "evolution" that is occurring.

As far as tunes go, that is something I leave up to the end user, so they get what they need/want. The hardware is still all the same, intakes, charge pipes, fmic, ETC so that much is still relevant so to speak. |

I've ordered multiple parts and have used all 3 vendors that are in this thread (check out my build thread... I have quite a few parts ) ... highly recommend each one of them... have always had a great experience. Thank you vendors for your support on here and our platform.
I won't get into the JB4 vs. BM3 debate, but message me and I can give a better detailed analysis of them. FYI, none bias opinion here... I have run both for extended periods of time... currently on BM3 solo (so there is my take on it lol) Good luck!

Flash: -smoother power delivery if done right -better control over fueling, ignition ,etc.. JB4: -Traction control (limit boost by gear and RPM). One of the most important features in real life. -failsafes to protect your engine if anything goes wrong or if one of your sensors fails -Does not need any tuning experience to make adjustments -has a resale value I would not say one is better than the other, its more about what you are looking for. I have always used both together on my cars. Keep in mind flash is now also separated in to 2. Some still require you to remove the ECU and the newer technology where you do not have to remove ECU anymore. Quote:

What is this O2 extension you speak of that prevents CEL from catless DP?
