Closed on a 2014 328D

Closed on my new 328d, it's a year old with 30k miles but that's not a problem for me. This car comes with everything I need and it's my "drive wherever I want" because of the fuel economy. Plus it's obviously a lot more spacious than my 1 series. I'm not going to be adding any mods or anything on it really, I'd prefer to keep it stock and get the decent fuel economy as promised.

Included Packages

Navigation System w/Touchpad
BMW Online & BMW Apps
Advanced Real-Time Traffic Information
Remote Services
Enhanced USB & Bluetooth w/Smartphone Integration
Instrument Cluster w/Extended Contents
Active Cruise Control
Instrument Cluster w/Extended Contents
Radio: Anti-Theft AM/FM/HD Stereo CD/MP3 Player
Hi-Fi Sound System
Sirius XM Satellite Radio
Hands-Free Bluetooth & USB Audio Connection

Plans

* Black Kidney Grills
* Tinted Windows

Thoughts?

Anyone know how the "auto shut off" button works on these F30s? Especially the diesels?

If the auto start/stop button is illuminated, it means you have overridden the system. Meaning it will not shut down while at a stop. Also it will do the same if you put it into "sport" mode. However if you have it overridden and you put it into "Eco Pro" mode it will allow the engine to shut off at a stop.

Is it worth doing? Do you think it's dangerous? I just feel like it's almost a beta system and it freaks me out a little bit, I don't want to harm the diesel engine at all...

It's 100% not going to harm anything. BMW has had it in their cars since 2012. I have it in both of my cars and between the 2 I have 25k miles. I use it every single day without trouble.

You can disable it every time if you would like but it serves 2 purposes.

1. Fuel economy obviously, why run the engine while you are at a stop?
2. Zero emissions during this time.

Just drive the car and enjoy it! The diesel is an amazing engine and I wish we had it in more cars!

What would you do to one if you've been given one set up like mine? As far as looks and appearance? Different / Lighter wheels? Obviously not major things such as engine tunes but little low key things, what do you think you'd do?
