Dont Buy From Ozzytyres

I bought an avant garde m355 from them and they shipped generic replicas, going throught the tedious process of court now as they're not willing to give me a refund.

Just wanted to get the word out, these guys are pretty much scammers

The Avant Garde is discontinued internationally since 2 years ago (contacted Avant Garde directly) and yet they still list in on their website.

If anyone wants to know in more detail, let me know, but I want to keep it low key until I get a court date

wow sorry to hear.

I knew Ozzy sold Avantgarde wheels, but thought they were the real deal. Will get the word out to friends who have bought Avantgardes from there.

yeah whats more dodgy is that they have a supplier website with the named avant garde: http://www.agwheels.com.au
And this is their fallback

WHO ARE NOT AFFILIATED WITH AVANT GARDE WHEELS IN ANY WAY (again verified by Avant Garde USA)

I would never have kmown unless i knew which sizes and offsets are avaliable for the m355, im certain they tricked many others who are not as informed

I got a story.... Late last year I purchased 4 Avant Garde m355 over the phone(DUMB)
I told them my model of car. The next day they finished with the fitting after having a look the actual wheels stick out past the body like its a fucking drift car I told them this is bullshit and fix it(dumb me) so they take it of and machine it by 3mm. So after fitting it I drove it home and got a ruler and they still stuck out past the body.

I knew its a defect but I took it to the rms and told me its a defect looking at there website it states 100% fitment guarantee I called them up told where I went and they said bring it down and pick what wheels you like so took the STANCE SC7.

Later they told me the wheels are for a 5 serious with 40et I told them I got a 3 serious.

I'm very happy with the Stance wheels easy to clean

Also your in the Gold Coast they don't give a fuck if you went in person its a different case I think

my point is only half about them 'not giving a fuck'
its mostly about them trying to pass off generic replicas as Avant Garde m355 (they probably knew the m355's are sought after after Avant Garde discontinued it. and them refusing to give me a refund or an exchange, claiming they are intact the same wheels, made of the same quality (they are not, pressure cast vs gravity cast)

Update,

OzzyTyres and I have come to a settlement, after I went through ACCC, threatened a court proceeding and a paypal dispute.

The terms were:
1) the settlement being the fair amount of price difference between the Avant Garde vs Generic ($250, not enough imo, but court would have cost me more.)
2) and a promise of them taking off the Avant Garde m355 from their website.

Update,

it does indeed seem like they finally pulled the Avant Garde M355 from their website, so thats a win for consumers
