Those damn mirrors are worrying me though. I really hope those don't make it to production.

The proportions look just right and perfect. Looks like the car will have shorter overhangs as well which is a good thing. The one negative, and a deal breaker for me, is that the car does seem to be bigger then the E90, which is already too big IMO.
I can see alot of 5 series buyers moving down to this car and alot of 3 series owners moving down to the next generation 1 series. BMW is shuffling the number system relative to the size of the car.

-A bit more shark-nosed, which seems consistent with other recent designs.
-Hood does look a bit bulbous. -If you look closely you can see the outline of the rear door -- ahead of the fake tape. |

From the bulletin we received the 2010 3 series is a short production run...sedan, wagon, coupe and convertible...the 2011 is by spring of next year. It seems they are fast tracking the next generation model. It looks about the size of the old E39 5 series...wider and longer to remain competitive with the A4.

Is it just me or does this look like the same exact street/turn where one of the first spyshots of the F10 was snapped? |

the e90 went into production after the e82(1er). seems unlikely that the new 3 would precede the next 1 which isn't due until at least next fall if not later. |

Has anyone thought that this could actually be the BMW 1-series 4-door that might come out in the USA? The proportions seem a bit weird to me and just cause it looks bigger then the current E90 3-series 4 door does not actually mean it's actual dimentions are larger then those of the E90. Companies can do a lot of tricks to make cars look larger then they really are.
