Guess I "assumed" you took the time to read it as it's right there, the next post. Here's part of that post right before the one you posted. "I guess I have to be more accurate then. Msport is a cosmetic pkg added to a sport line model. Is that better? " Note: "...added to a sport line model." Perhaps you missed that post as you then go on to tell me what's in an Msport regarding sport seats and sport suspension, as if I don't already have one. |

What it does show is the optional Msport, "if equipped". Got anything clearer that states "OEM rotor for 335i Msport"? That would be very clear. |

What am I pointing out as incorrect? I posted a thread, that I did not write. It's clearly still in this forum as posted by a moderator. Is it incorrect? I don't know. That is the source I am using. You say it is wrong, Ok, where's your info/source? I'm at the real oem link, but I'm not seeing the larger rotors listed as OEM. They are listed as "if equipped". That's the question though. You say Msport are OEM equipped with M sport brakes. The moderator posted thread says they are not. Realoem doesn't help here. Please explain what is what using the part numbers listed there. I really am curious now and want to know what's up. |

Part # ending in: 2223 7606 7602 7603 Is 2223 the OEM for non Msport 335i? Part# ....7606 is for which model? You're saying it's the OEM Msport rotor. Part# ....7602 shows it to be 340x30, which is around 13.5" Part# ...7603 show it to be 370x30, that's the larger rotor with the dimpled surface. So, which is the OEM rotor for an 335i Msport? Is it 7606 that shows no size? What 335i gets the 7602 rotor? From my understanding, 335i's in any line, mod, lux, sport or Msport get the 340x30 front rotors. These are larger than what the 328i's get. The question is not that "M sport" brakes are the same as "M performance" brakes. The question is, do Msport F30's get the "M sport/M performance" brakes as OEM/standard, not as option. You're saying that US spec Msport, 328i or 335i, get the same size rotors and same calipers as the "M performance" brakes, except for the dimples and colored calipers. Yes? |

7602 is the 13.4" slotted M-Performance brake rotor. This part can be use as either the 335i rear Performance rotor, or the 328i front M-Performance rotor. Not sure why the catalog leads us here, grouped with 335i "front" rotors. But realoem is not infallible. It is referenced as 02 on the diagram, pointing out its slotted/dimpled design. Note that the rotors are not to scale. Quote:

7602 is only designed for the rear 335i M-performance rotor. Quote:

I personally like certain things on the US spec sport line over the US spec M sport. I love the black leather with red stitching which goes great with my Melbourne Red exterior. I like the fog lamps, and the look of the front better on the sport line. I like the black mirror caps, and blacked out chrome exhaust tips on the sport line. The only thing I really like about the M sport over my sport line is the M sport steering wheel and the side moldings.

1) with the M Sport option, Canadian buyers of F30-335i can order "M Sport brakes" @ extra cost of $350 = larger, lightweight rotors (370mm front and 345mm rear), Brembo blue M callipers and upgraded hubs, 2) for USA buyers of F30, the "M Performance brakes" are a port-installed option available @ extra cost of $2300-2700. These brakes are the same as M Sport brakes, except the rotors are drilled and slotted and the callipers are painted in red or yellow.

well if anyone is interested, I'll be taking off my f30 335i msport brakes and putting on the m performance package. I am selling this slightly used set. I just picked up my car 2 days ago and will be putting the brakes on next week. Good opportunity for someone to upgrade or paint the calipers the way they want. I dont have a price yet being that im not certain of the going rate so if anyone does shoot me a line

They are NOT anywhere near 14.6". They are around 13" to 13.?", somewhere closer to 13.5". It's obviously hard to measure them exactly as there is no way to get a straight shot at them while mounted. But again, not anywhere near 14.6". OEM Msport brakes are not the larger M sport brakes, not in the US, as I have been trying to explain. "M sport brakes" and "M performance brakes" are OPTIONAL not OEM/standard. When you get your Msport, please measure your OEM/non optional brakes for verification. "M sport/performance" is an OPTION, but not the OEM standard that is put on US Msports. Thanks for adding to the forums information. |

I have yet to see a " line" f30. I only see the base f30 on the road. With that said, I barely see any f30s. At my dealership, They have a 328 msprt, and I have to say the front looks so much nicer than any other line. I notice that a base f30 328 is priced around $38,000. This could be the reason why I have only seen base f30s.
