Bent Wheel (pothole). Fix or replace?

It still holds air, haven't had it on the highway since it happened. Two of the other wheels have some rash, stock 400M 18" square.

Is it worth it to repair vs. buying a single (or even a set)?

I'm sure it can be repaired but it may not feel the same and would probably cost you the same as a used wheel that isn't damaged, so personally, I'd replace the bent wheel and refinish the others.

I'm sure you can find one second-hand for $150-$250 if you poke around ebay/facebook/bimmerpost. Refinishing is probably $100 a wheel. A used set that needs refinishing would run you like $800 and the wheels cost ~$500 each brand new, so I think what I've suggested is the most cost effective method.

Take the opportunity to buy lighter wheels, you would be surprised what an awesome benefit dropping a few lbs of unsprung weight will do for your driving experience

I was also considering this option (did wonders for my old E36), but I really like the look of these... did a little poking around and haven't seen anything to get excited about yet.

That's easily repairable by someone who knows what they're doing, but whether it's cost effective to do so or just buy another used wheel from eBay etc is up to you.

Also, while some aftermarket wheels can be lighter most won't be stronger than an OEM wheel, not unless you're spending daft money. And also, unless you're also upgrading other suspension components at the same time, there'll be limited gains from ditching a kilo or two from each corner alone.

I'd disagree with this, unless you are talking BMW forged wheels. Almost all recent BMW wheels since the e90 that are painted silver and low pressure cast seem to be unnecessarily heavy and rather soft. Case in point we have a 400m wheel here that's bent and weighs in at approx 11.8kg or roughly 26lbs. An APEX flow forged ARC8 18x9et30 (1"wider wheel) weighs in at just over 18lbs or 8.2kg. Moving from a run flat 225/45r18 at 26lbs to a 255/40 Pilot Sport 4 go flat, also 26lbs is about a wash. dropping 3.5kg per corner is rather significant, not to mention an increased track width, plus you gain a wheel warranty and a 50% discount policy if you should need a replacement wheel.

When I got the car, it had Bridgestone DriveGuards of varying vintage (previous owner changed 'em piecemeal over several years. Baffling). Shortly after, I put on a set of Conti DWS 06+ and the difference was truly astonishing.

Still looking...

That looks repairable, but 400Ms aren't especially rare or expensive, so may be better to simply replace
