Can I turn off the front parking sensors independantly? I just want the rear view camera and not the pdc beeping sounds...anyway to turn it off?

Are you talking about a use case when you are using the Parking Assistant feature and the car is automatically parking itself (you aren't using steering wheel).

Or are you talking about a normal situation where you just put the car in reverse and are using the steering wheel, say, in a three point turn situation?

When you turn it down is it barely perceptible or still quite loud?

IMO, embrace it. It reveals the presence of objects that neither the camera or mirrors will. I especially like the constant tone, which will tell you when you are a pre-determined distance away from something, even if it's in front of you too low to see. I haven't had the opportunity to see if it aims low enough to detect a parking barrier, but if so that would save a lot of scraped bumpers.
