I assume so, based on what I've done with mine, but I haven't used it to clear that particular code. There's only one NT 510, but there is a functionally identical Schwaben at ECS. You might be able to find out for sure here:

Knowing how close they cut it to the vest with wire gauges, to save weight, I'd be concerned about an overload on the right lamp wire. One reason I went to all LED was to reduce the current load, especially after seeing the rear lamp socket cock up.

So after a long day of diagnosing turns out my FEM was bad and it's getting replaced soon. . I use bimmercode and bimmerlink a lot and I'm worried about compatability and issues with the two apps. I'm probably just over thinking, but the new FEM shouldn't have any issues with these apps correct?

I meant like recognizing the new FEM and being able to change codes within the module in the apps themselves, particularly the bimmercode app. In bimmercode under the air conditioning section I get the "critical errors exist" message with the red circle next to it which I've heard is fairly common and don't want to possibly run into that with the FEM section or any other critical one. I guess if everything works after the new FEM is flashed to the car there shouldn't be any coding issues after that. This is my first modern BMW so I'm just making sure I get my facts straight.

You shouldn't have a problem. All Bimmercode does is to read the data that exists in the various modules and alter those parameters that have that capability. Think of it as the keyboard and screen of a computer. They're just peripherals, not the CPU.

Do you know if the Foxwell NT510 or any scanner tool is capable of programing a new FEM into the vehicle?

I know it’s a couple years late, but I had the exact same issue:
2014 F30 “Left Low beam malfunction” Left low beam won’t turn on even with appropriate bulb, after triggering short circuit too many times. Dealership told me I need new FEM. Not true. Solution: contact https://www.bimecu.com/ You will need enet cable, windows based laptop, download admin teamviewer, and have access to Wi-Fi while inside your car. They will connect to your vehicle via your laptop and reset the code for you, making everything functional again for $200. Last edited by happyparrot; 10-27-2022 at 08:23 PM.. |
