In my long commute from Twicks to W4 (8 miles) lol I do get a lot of aggression, as mentioned before i find its skoda vrs, or lately SAABS - wtf is that about! or just jealous nobbers. Mostly to be fair on the A316 its people doing 30-35 mph in the outside lane and that causes so many issues. Some drivers just don't look who is behind and don't care they are in the right lane to turn right in 3 miles
Over the year I have managed to calm down and just ignore to an extent. I find I prefer my push bike via Richmond park... less stress |

I don't think people mind moving over for a sports car bombing along but most will see our cars as "just" a 3/4 or 5 series and act differently.

Have to say that I don't think you see many high performance cars bombing along the motorways- m cars, Porsches, RS and upwards etc.
I always suspect it's because they'd be doing about 15mpg as a consequence, and even if you can afford it, stopping for fuel every 150-200 miles is tedious. And for all the criticisms of the 335d it is an absolute superb motorway machine. I can sustain 3 figure speeds and stay on the right side of 30mpg still.

Well I guess that depends on what you mean by bombing along, in my old M3s, 911 and current M5 I'll cruise at 80-95mph with blasts above that if no one is around, it was the same with the 335d as well although that wasn't as peppy above 100 as the others.

Hi All,
Only had the 335 (cough... D EB11) a couple of days and have already had a couple of cars trying to get me to bite, strangely, they were both older bmw models. But with 244 miles on the clock I will have to wait patiently....or they were astounded with that rare beautiful blue, never seen around here, well until approx a week after I ordered!! Strange but nobody tried in my previous honda CRV! |
