Most auto parts stores should have them. I bought mine from O'Reilly's. Here's some from AutoZone

I never had to do this when adding an intake. Shouldn't be necessary. The only way I see this possibly being necessary is if the install was performed with the car on and even so shouldn't be required.

Nothing with adding an intake should cause poor mileage, even if if wasn't installed correctly.

However; if the MAF sensor was damaged this would send false reading possibly causing the motor to run rich.

I agree, first step of diagnoses would be returning to stock.
Thank you for the opinion, i will try to get my hands on an airbox asap! Broke mine when installing this intake 😅😅

bought and installed. Love the intake sounds and the wastegate flutter when you're off throttle. It is actually quite loud, and I hope it doesn't wear on me.

Butt dyno says mid/high rpm pickup is a little stronger. I will put my car on a dyno soon so I will be able to gauge whether my exhaust/intake give any additional power.

Also want to add the fitment required some extra work, some of the gaskets that Injen supplied didn't fit easily

there hasn't been a clear answer to whether or not this install voids warranty. if I take care in for service what should I expect from my dealer? (USA, CA)

Hey izzy thanks for the write-up. I had it open on my iPad in conjunction with the supplied manual when I was installing last night. Your extra explanations and pictures certainly helped. Took me about an hour to do (I was being extra careful and couldn't figure how to get the MAF sensor out for the longest time... lol).

For some reason I don't have the vacuum line either.. spent a good 20 minutes searching the engine bay for it...

how are ppl feeling about this intake? does everyone need to bend the lower shield to make it fit? Also anyone knows the vacuum tube size? I think it will be better to add a clamp on it to make it more secure? or it is really not necessary? Thanks for all your sharing. Am still waiting for my car and would like to add this intake when it arrives.

I'm experiencing the same loss of gas mileage did resetting battery help? I've reset and will take it easy but not interested in keeping a mod that robs my mileage.

Learned that the hard way lol. Had to access the trunk through my folding seats and just plugged in the negative to the battery to be able to open the trunk. Rookie mistake lol.

Did everyone install the 13.5 inch rubber thing? Is it really necessary?? I didnt install it. Also i feel like there is a bit of a wiggle between my top tubing and the bottom tubing. Ive been paranoid that something might go wrong lol..

How often do you clean the filter, and HOW do you clean the filter? Dry filter. How much dirt comes in through the slits in the cover?

I'm interested in this intake but I'm concerned with all the feedback stating loss of mpgs... I'm only averaging 18mpg (bone stock) in pure city driving. It's hard enough to stay out of the boost as it is lol.

Adding an intake should not cost you 5 mpg, it this is the case something else is wrong with your car or your driving habits have changed

why is the MPG different. Assume your driving habits dont change i would have thought the intake makes the car breath easier. if anything i would have thought it atleast should keep the MPG the same?

In theory the cooler the air the better the gas mileage ... In this case as long as your driving habits are the same, results should be almost identical

Problem is when you have an intake that makes sound, you tend to press on the gas pedal more which will lead to lower gas mileage
