F31 wagon in xDrive only?

Was the F31 wagon brought to the US in xDrive guise only?

Was looking at these, but not finding any RWD only ones...

xDrive only in US/CA.

There's a thread around talking about how to convert one to RWD-only, but it's pricey as it requires a new tranny...

No removing the front driveshaft as with the e9x chassis?

You can do that, but you're still left with the transfer case, front diff and all the excess weight.

If you want rwd in a wagon, the E91 or prior is the only way to go stateside.

Looks like low mileage used ones are readily avail for ~1k. Good to see all this stuff making its way of the e90 prices. Typical trend that makes exploring fun. Shame about the extra bit of coding Bmw put in there. Each body style more of the same coding tightening.
