Bought some wheels, want to know the correct tire sizes

Hey guys, bought some Niche Essen wheels for me f30 335i. I got the rims and now I'm trying to find out what tires I can run on my car. The rim size is 20x9 in the front and 20x10 in the rear. I've been calling tire shops all day and I get the same response of 225-35-20 front and 255-35-20 in the rear. That sizing doesnt seem to sound correct to me. What size would be a good fit for these wheels?

I have 20" 624M wheels with 225/35/20 front and 255/30/20 rears with only .6% difference in speedometer.

I would go 235-35-20 in the front and 275-30-20 in the rear. (0.29% difference front and rear)

225 will look very stretched on a 9" actually even 235 does look stretched.

I have 235-35-20" and 275-30-20" on my wheels which is 20x9" and 20x10.5"

Garage List
2013 BMW M3  [10.00]
2015 BMW M4  [0.00]
2013 BMW F30  [0.00]
2014 BMW F22  [0.00]

I would go 235/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear. Depending on your offsets, you may need to trim fender liners or adjust alignment settings.

Recommended Sizes.
9" MIN.235.- IDEAL 245/255. - MAX.265.
10"MIN.255.- IDEAL 265/275. - MAX.285.

It would depend on your new wheels Offsets, as mentioned here, And what size Tire you could put on the Front without Rubbing and Rolling the Fender.
It also depends how far You want to go. Many have their cars Lowered with Spacers, to compensate for Offsets and have Rolled Fenders to get the Max. Tire on their Wheels.

I would look at the following Combo's.
F235/R265. - F245/R275. - F255/R285.
As stated here F235/R275. Maybe that's better than the Combo. I gave of F235/R265.

You can compare Your Original Set Up with the New Combo's you like at tirerack or willtheyfit.
Good Luck.

Thank you guys. Just had them order some 245/35/20 for the front and some 275/30/20 in the rear. I think that should be good. I just realized that 99% of these tire shops do not know anything about tires, they just sell whatever they can find.

Have you Contacted/Phoned Tire Places with your Original Set Up for their advice and Checked the Tire Calculator's for the Best New Set Up.
I wouldn't Order Tires unless I was sure of the Fitment.
The Running Diameter for Staggered Tires is ideally the same for Xdrives or less than 1%.

I have only offered you Combinations so you can mix and match and Compare against your Original Set Up, as I don't know yours.
Tire Rack sponsor this site. They should be able to advise you the Best Combinations.

Sorry if I sound concerned but I can understand the more Sales Oriented things are becoming and how hard it is to find Technical Advice these days.
Do you know/have the Original Specifications for your Car? You can also Try 1010tires to calculate.
If you cant get satisfactory help/advice post your Original Set Up on here for me and others to Calculate for you.
