Had alcantara on an m3 and it wore like crap---replaced with full leather in two years.

Me too. Looks nice but don't really like alcantara steering wheels.

Isn't this the M Performance wheel?? My local dealer has it on a car for sale which is loaded with other MP kit!! But yes as already said, I reckon it wouldn't wear particularly well..!?

+1 for Arizona as well. I also don't even like the look. The regular M Sport wheel looks much better to me.

I sourced my F30 with a broker and luckily for me, it came with the M Performance Wheel with Alcantara and the OLED display. I do enjoy the OLED display but would prefer a leather wheel as I too, am concerned with it absorbing sweat or any moisture off my hands.

Same thing happened on my '05 E46 ZHP. Alcantara wheel was standard and within 2 years needed replacement so dealership replaced with a leather E46 M3 wheel per my request. No problems after that.

im not really worried about the wear and tear on alcantara, that wasnt the topic of the thread loll

Ive been detaling for a lil over 3 years and maintaining it wont be an issue. just wondered what ppl thought about it.

Either way - I bought the wheel haha and I love it
