I just had my roof done in a gloss black. This is one of those things that I'd rather have a professional or some one that has done quite a few already handle for me. With two people working on it (taking their time), it took just under 3hrs. I recently clayed my car then just washed it before going to the shop so they got to skip that part. They still sprayed the roof, not sure if it was a quick detailer or spray wax, but then went over it carefully making sure it was clean and nothing on it. Roof rails and antenna fin came off, and then the antenna itself was unplugged. Vinyl laid over it, trimmed, and tucked up to the glass front and rear. Pieces trimmed off from the sides were used to wrap the rails. The rails were taken apart so the rail itself, both end caps, and both "doors" (the pieces that lift up where you attach a luggage rack) were all wrapped individually. Then the fin was wrapped. Not a job I want want to DIY as I'd get aggravated at any bubbles or problem spots. Getting front reflectors, grill chrome, and mirrors done this w/e.
