About to Join The GT Family!
Hi Everyone,
I've been on the 2 Series forum since 2015, and just today placed a deposit for a 2018 330i xDrive GT to add to our household. I was almost tempted to buy a new Kia Stinger...great value and similar physical configuration (roomy back seat/hatch/spacious cargo/190" overall length) and getting good write-ups so far, but availability was too unknown at this time and the BMW dealer made me an offer which was an outstanding value and I was having trouble refusing! Here's the build: 2018 Sportline Alpine White Venetian Beige Sensatec Style 397 Double Spoke 18" wheels with All Season tires Premium Tier Apple Car Play Active Blind Spot MSRP $50,395 Sales Price $41,070 To get this price, Loyalty incentive was included and BMW Financial Services for leasing was required, taking off a total of $4500 in incentives; dealer negotiation did the balance. I looked for this color/content combination in five states. It's on the boat now and expected at the dealership within the next few weeks. A great partner to my 2 Series Track Package/6MT and a very nice way to celebate the New Year! Looking forward to learning from your experiences with the GT!

Thank you...good luck with yours and very much looking forward to that boat docking next week so I can get mine. Almost bought a Kia Stinger, which is about the same size and apparently being very well-received, but the seating and cargo accomodations on the GT are larger.

My GT was just unloaded from the boat! Dealer said I might have it by the end of the week!

I tried to post pics, but for some reason, cannot. Obviously, it looks just like all the others....Alpine White. The car arrived on the 3rd and I have a just over a hundred miles on it now. Very impressed! Zero BSR, powertrain feels great (understanding it's not the 340), and I do have it in Sport all the time. Wonderful transmission....seamless. Extremely comfortable. Hoping to find a way to set or code away the double door pull to exit, as I did for my 2 Series. Completely delighted with this choice and looking forward to the next three years!

In the mountains that's OK, but if you get on an interstate where you're pure cruising it's a waste of gas, drop it back to comfort. You don't have to double pull if you don't have the car auto-lock, which you can change in iDrive.

Yes, for cruising distances (haven't done that yet in this car, but do use Eco in my 2 Series on multi-hour trips), I would back it down and use speed control. But, I can tell around town, and urban interstate travel of a few exits, I far prefer the throttle mapping of Sport. Thanks!
