F30 335i Lease Deal - yay or nay?

Hi, I'm new to the forum here and would like to know if I got a good deal on my lease.

BMW 335i Xdrive sedan
-M-Sport
-Estoril Blue
-Black leatherette with aluminum hexagon and estoril blue accent
-Harmon Kardon sound system
-automatic with paddle shifters
-19'' wheels

12k miles/year

MSRP - $51,720
Price - $48,020 (Invoice ~$47,00)
Incentives - $1000 (Olympics Drive Event)
(I also qualify for the recent graduate incentive but apparently it is not stackable? Can anyone confirm this?)
Deposit for order - $1000

Payment - $572.90 per month

Upfront Sales Tax - $1778.85
Acquisition fee - $725
Tire fee - $10
Inspection fee - $10
Documentation fee - $75
Tax on fees - $69
Total cash due on lease - $3240.75 + DMV fees

My math comes out to be about $550 a month which isn't a whole lot of a difference but I don't know where my math was wrong. If I pay the taxes and other fees up front, I imagine it would not change the price of the monthly lease payment. Is there a hidden charge I'm not factoring in?

This is my math

MSRP 51720
.00145
61%'
price - $48020

Residual $31549.2

48020 - 31549.2 - 1000 (incentive) = 15470.8
15470.8 / 36 =
$429.75
+$115.38 [(48020 + 31549.2) x .00145]

$545.12

Thanks!

Can anyone confirm if this is a good deal or not?

Thanks for the reply. I actually haven't signed the lease agreement yet, just made an order with a deposit.
Do you think I can still negotiate a better lease with my salesmen? Also I think I read one of your posts that you are a ny dealer. The dealer I went to who is on long island hasn't placed the order yet (said he would be ordering on Monday which is tomorrow). Do you think you can help me out on a better deal?

Ok, I sent a somewhat stern email to my salesman to hold off on the order until we can work something out. Hopefully this won't build a bad rapport between us. A lot of the dealers have been quoting me at least a $1000 over invoice it seems. I thought it would be easier to get closer to invoice pricing with a new car order especially in an area with about 4 or 5 BMW dealers in somewhat close proximity.

I might just stick with it as long as I can get the college grad incentive to stack with the Olympic drive event. My salesman left me a voicemail saying he had to do research to see if they can be combined. Then he told me (after BMW took my deposit and even ran a credit check for me on the spot which came out to be 760) that BMW had denied something or other from me and did not place the order (yet?). What else could they have denied for me?

Another dealer said they would match the price for me but did not offer a better deal. Is this pretty much as good as it gets? I've read so many people here get $500 above invoice or better so I'm inclined to think I can do just as good. Is there something I'm missing here? Is it because I'm a first time customer or because I'm using certain incentives?

First, get them to take out those misc. fees they are putting in there. The invoice that they are telling you isn't really "true" invoice. You have to consider the factory hold back, which on these cars is around 2% of MSRP. When you subtract that from the invoice it gives you the TRUE cost of the car that the dealer is being "charged"

If the invoice is around 47,---, this is what I think your negotiated price should be.

Interesting, I thought there was no holdback on BMWs?

Whoops, You're correct.

Adjusted:

The negotiated price of the car should be $47835.00

Not sure if this helps but here's the deal I just took after shopping around for a couple of weeks:

F30 335i
M Sport
Technology
Black Sapphire Metallic
19'' 403 M Wheels
Sport Auto Transmission
Leatherette
10k miles/year

MSRP $51,945
Selling Price $47,720
Cap Reduction $0.00
Residual 0.62
MF (w/7x MSD) 0.0096
Total Monthly payment $541.75

I didn't previously own a bmw, graduate from college in the past year, or participate in the Olympic drive event so I didn't qualify for any additional incentives.

Since I have a trade in, I am planning on doing the exact same thing with the max MSD's to get the MF down as low as possible.

Does the BMWFS base money factor offered change monthly or just whenever they decide to update it? Is it a set rate or is it negotiable depending on your credit rating? Do they post it on the BMW website by chance or do you just have to go to the dealer to find out what is offered?

Also, on a BMWFS lease, is the total tax for the term due at delivery/signing or is it added to the monthly payment?

Sales/use tax is paid on cap cost reduction and the monthly payment in almost all places. There are a couple states where this is different- IL I think is one of them.

That's false. My dealer told me you can stack them. I just had to provide him with proof of graduation and the voucher code for the Olympics event.

What dealer did you get your 335 from? I'm looking to order an M Sport. Did you consider the BMW select for financing, just curious what the balloon payment would be VS the buyout on the lease.

There is a base money factor that is set by BMW Financial Services and it changes periodically (not sure how often). The base MF depends on your credit score, but it's pretty easy to qualify (credit score of 700 or so). My advice is to get pre-approved online through the bmw credit app then negotiate selling price, etc via email. Things will go more smooth if you are pre-approved for base money factor.

I ordered from BMW San Francisco. I didn't consider financing, only lease. So I'm not sure what that figure would have been.

Anyone know what the September MF is? Not able to find the numbers but it looks like the lease sepcials on bmwusa have dropped in price (could be a combination of factors, not MF related). I'm locked in but can take the better lease deal if it's available.
