BMW Accessories

Not the most exciting post, i'll give you that (look, it's Friday afternoon!), but...

Has anyone got the protective boot mat for their F30 - does it fit well and what's the quality like?

Also, any other recommended items from the BMW accessories selection that are worth considering?

Thanks, that's the one I was looking at so good to hear you're happy with it. I have already ordered the M Sport leather key pouch and also the USB charger that fits in the 12v socket from BMW direct and ordered a black Richbrook twist off X drive tax disc holder from eBay (always the first thing I get for a new car - hate the standard plastic tax disc holders!).

All I need now is the car...!

I've reused my boot mat from my E91, there is a gap of a few centimeters here and there so saved me a few ££££

I've also got the USB charger for the 12v socket. I've decided against the BMW one and went for a Griffin Micro PowerJolt Dual, it's tiny and is flush so nothing sticks out and gives me 2 USB ports.

I've bought a 'Protective Bootspace Cover' for my F31 cost £118. It's really good. It protects the entire interior upto the glass, either just in the bootspace or with the rear seats folded down. So that there is no chance of any crap getting onto ones individual leather upholstery. Great for going down to the dump or carrying stuff back from the beach thats covered in sand.

Sounds like a good option. In the saloon isn't there an under floor storage cubby? Is this still easily accessible with the boot mat? Also, can you still access the lashing points for the luggage net?

I use a protective boot cover/mat which I got from Costco for £10 approx. It is not a perfect fit, but good enough, and is really good quality rubber, and very durable.

Is that a genuine BMW item? Any pictures as it sounds tempting.

Comes in a protective bag, which is made of the same material as the cover. The section that that protects the back of the front seats uses a T bars arrangement that slots between the rods of the headrests. This holds the cover up. Then it uses an arrangement of velcro and glass suckers to hold the sides up to protect the door cards and boot trim.

Bmw Direct on eBay seems pretty good for all this type of stuff, excellent range and stock. Only £2.95 flat rate delivery.

Whilst we're on this topic, any idea how much a set of rubber protective floor mats will be? Anyone had any luck getting the dealer to chuck them in post order?

I've found other main dealers who sell on eBay are often cheaper or have free delivery.
