340 Issue Resetting Vehicle Status after Oil Change

So there are a couple of factors at play here.

My 2016 340 was due for it's first oil change AND the MPPSK was released around the same time. Took the car in to have the MPPSK installed and told them to do the Oil Service as well. I noticed after I got the car home that it was still prompting me for the Oil Change in 300 miles. Took it to a closer dealership today at lunch figuring the tech just forgot to reset the status. So the SA today hopped in the car and reset the status for me and I confirmed the message was gone and I was now due for an oil change in 8,000 miles.

Got lunch, got back in my car, started it, and it is prompting me again to get an oil service in 300 miles. Seems the reset isn't persisting.

So, since this is my first Oil Service, the problem is either with the 340 software in general, or the new code that was flashed with the MPPSK.

Anyone else see this?

Manually reset again when I got home and the change seemed to persist this time. Something odd is definitely going on, but I am not going to sweat it.

You are not alone. You need to have your car's software updated per SIB 1241 15. This update will update almost all modules on your car if it was an early build. Did your SA even mention to you that the car needed the software update? If they didn't, shame on them and you should probably find another dealership. If I were you, I would mention it on the feedback survey.
