Deleting Text Messages
Does anyone know how to delete a text message off your screen? I delete them off my phone, but can't get them off my screen. I have tried through Office and can't get a "delete message" to come up. I have a Motorola Atrix 4G through AT&T if that helps.

The car should refresh or update the list every time your bluetooth pairs with the phone. When mine refreshes, the old messages are gone and it only shows what is currently on my phone. It is similar with the phonebook. I'll verify that tomorrow and post the result. I'm using a Samsung galaxy sII

Great
Thanks for the help. Like your avatar. The F-15 Eagle. None better. I was a K-9 handler for eight years in the air force and then went to work for what was then McDonnell Douglas. Nothing like watching a brand new Eagle doing a maximum performance takeoff with an Immelman at the end. Like they say, drive it like you stole it.

My earlier idea didn't pan out so I broke out the manual.
Deleting messages Messages from the Concierge service, My Info, and BMW Info can be deleted. Delete a message: 1."Office" 2."Messages" 3.Select the desired message. 4."Options" Open. 5."Delete message" Delete all messages: 1."Office" 2."Messages" 3."Options" Open. 4."Delete all messages I'll try this tomorrow and let ya know how it works. It's good to hear from a fellow Airman! The F-15 is an awesome aircraft. I worked the F-15E for 18 years still get thrilled every time I see them go rocketing down the runway! I have a lot of respect for the Security Forces, jets are easier to reason with than people Last edited by LousyShot; 09-12-2012 at 10:51 PM.. |

Thanks for your dillegence. I found the same thing in the owner's manual. I just couldn't find the delete messages part on the screen.

I couldn't find the specific option that the manual mentions either. There was an option to delete all service messages so after I cleared the messages from my phone, I hit that option, the screen asked if I wanted to delete all messages, I hit OK and now my messages are cleaned out. Still not sure if I hit the right buttons or just got lucky...
I'll see if I can repeat the results tomorrow. Hope you're having some luck with yours. I did notice that just clearing out the messages from my phone reduced the number of messages in iDrive the next time my phone connected to the car. |

I think the problem may be fixed. I deleted the phone off my list and then reinstalled it. Seems to have fixed it. So far so good. Thanks for all the help.
