iPhone 5

Apologies if this has already been discussed, but does anyone have information on how/if the new iPhone 5 will work with the F30? I use the aux/usb dongle now to connect my iPhone 4s to iDrive, and all works as planned (no iphone snap-in adapter). I'm planning to get the iPhone 5 soon, and I'm also planning to get an F30 when my current E90 lease ends...so I just want to know what to expect.

I wouldn't expect that your ability to connect via USB will be impacted by the new connector on the iPhone 5. It is still a standard USB connector; only the iPhone side connector has been altered. I obviously don't have an iPhone 5 yet (or even my BMW!) so can't say for sure, but I'd be surprised if anything changes.

Apple has an adapter to go from the 8pin Lightning Connector to the old 30 pin connector.

You'll be fine with USB but it won't work with the snap-in

Even if the connector was the same as before, the new iPhone 5 wouldn't fit in the BMW snap-in adapter because the new phone is longer than the 4/4S.

I don't think the OP is asking whether a snap in adapter will work. He currently connects via USB. There is no reason to believe that any functionality will be lost with the new connector.

So, you tried connecting by Bluetooth and it did not work?? Is that what you are saying?

Connected the new USB cable to my F02 yesterday and everything worked as expected. All combox functionality was there. Bluetooth also works as expected with the new office functionality.

Mine does not seem to work with the Lightning-USB cable for some reason. BT works fine.

Has anyone gotten email to work with Office. So far I can only read Texts. Also, there is no way to compose a text or reply.
