Pandora/AUPEO Audio issue with iPhone4S

Hey guys,

So I've noticed an annoying issue with my iPhone4S in the BMW with "enabled-apps" like Pandora, AUPEO, MOG, etc. So here's the situation: I start the application (let's say Pandora) on the iPhone4S (running iOS 6), which is connected to the BMW via the USB cable. Things are working jelly, but then a call comes in, I switch to another app, etc, etc. After that point, when switching back to the Pandora app, the audio starts coming through the iPhone instead of the car speakers....and there's nothing that I can do to change it. Killing the app and restarting doesn't work....only restarting the entire iPhone seems to resolve the situation. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so...do you know of a fix or alternative workaround to restarting the entire iPhone?

I have had similar experiences, but for me I just had to either restart the app or just unplug the cable and put it in again.

But BMW need to fix this ASAP. It is like no multitasking all over again. Or is it Apple that needs to fix it maybe?

It's hard to tell where the error lies....unfortunately, because of the application design, when you're synced with the iDrive in these applications you can't change the Audio Source (like you do when you're playing Bluetooth Audio Streaming). That would be MY fix to the situation -- when the application is synced, allow the user to toggle between iPhone and Connected Drive.

I'm hoping for an update now that the iPhone 5 is out. Some new firmware and a bunch of apps using the BMW SDK that hopefully solves some of these issues.

I went ahead and emailed Pandora support to see if they're aware of the issue and if they have a known workaround/timeline for a fix.
