Opti coat please help
Hi so I'm wondering if it's worth it to invest in opti coat I don't know too much about it I did a little research, some info about my car I park on my driveway exposed to the elements my car is alpine white but my roof is wrapped in gloss black (should I have gotten opti coat prior to wrapping) I got the car in September probably washed it 3-4 times (car wash not hand wash). Will this opticoat protect against scratches? on my 328i which was the same color I noticed had a lot scratches from me hitting my purses etc against the door pillars while getting in will opticoat prevent this or should I get a clearbra/film on the front half of the car?
Thank you in advance for help |

Normally a car goes for Opti Coat right away after you buy it. If the car has gone through car washes, there may be a slight paint correction needed before they can apply the Opti coat. Opti coat is effective to protect the pant against the elements, (sun, uv rays, leaves sticking to the paint, bird droppings) but not scratches. I got my AW 3series and X5 done two years ago and a simple wash is like I've waxed the whole car. It's a worthwhile investment if you wanna avoid waxing but to avoid scratches, I agree clear bra is the way to go.

At least you can admit it. In fairness most of the people who own these cars don't give a half a shit.

It started off great I was careful trying not spill coffee and keeping it clean, I promised myself it wouldn't be like my 328 coffee spills and bird shit everywhere. But the reality is its a daily driver I'm busy and just stopped caring. oh well... |

A little too late for that just made a grocery run only to come out to my car and notice a crack in the windshield and huge dent in the fender
