HELP! Been almost 4 years since something like this happened.
Yes it's minor but living in Brooklyn I'm proud of my streak of not having any damage. What's the best way to remove this in an affordable manner of course. Thanks for your help.

This sucks man.
You might be able to get most of it out with a compound and polish and a foam pad. Deeper stuff won't be completely invisible, but a lot less noticeable. Compound is like $8. A pad plus drill mount is ~$30 or something. Next time you get it washed, see if you can get some guy to hit that spot with some compound. |

Can't quite tell from photo how deep it goes but even if you don't have a DA polisher, I bet a can of compound and some elbow grease will make a big improvement. My wifes, sister had a scuff like that on her Benz ..used my polisher and took the whole thing out in 2 minutes, save two eraser sized spots where the paint was chipped. Told her to get some touch up...three months later she still has the spots...typicall. |

I am sorry that this has come upon you. I've had a similar level of damage on my previous car which was a Lexus.
I found that the best way to remove most of the blemish was when I took it in to get professionally detailed. Do keep in mind that the damage did not dig into the paint for me. It was merely on top of the paint. It cost me a good $200 to get the car completely detailed in my neck of the woods. I hope that it works for you. Let us know how it turns out. |
