Any way to make the display show digital speedometer?

Was wondering if there's any way to set the iDrive or custom code the car in order to make it display a digital speedometer of your current speed on the dash? I know the M5 has this feature and I thought for some reason that I had seen it on the F30, too. Does anyone know?

If you have the Tech. package, you get a HUD that displays your speed on the windshield above the steering wheel.

AH! That's why I remember seeing a digital speedometer in the F30 before. Thanks for reminding me! I remember seeing that on the test drive now.

When you have cruise control on and adjust the speed with the controls it shows you a small digital read out...

Good to know, too! I think I remember that from my E90.

The fact that is shows it on the HUD is terrific though. I position my steering wheel as low as it will go and that usually ends up hiding the top of the speedometer behind the top of the steering wheel and I have to shift around in order to see my current speed when the needle is pointing upwards. Glad I won't have this problem with the F30 thanks to the HUD!

I sure wish the F30 could be coded for this. Coming from the digital display, it's a tough feature to be without. (First World Problems )

You can code the car to show digital speed display. V=speed. Please refer to svache's coding guide for more details.
