Talk about first world problems...

Either way, I prefer it like this.
My previous Volvo also behaved this way.

Everyone else in this thread: first world problems... lol
Mercedes is a twist switch, you turn it on and forget it. It doesn't reset everytime like BMW.

Um, last I checked this IS a BMW forum, every single thread here is a first world problem.

You can change the sensitivity if you use Bimmercode.

What the fk are you people going on about..... the auto wipers on our 2018 330i are always on if you leave the stalk UP one position... or down( I never use it) I wax and use rainX, and we get winter here so the last thing I want is a few hundred dollars worth of wiper motor being blown because the wipers are frozen.

I find the f30 system to work well and they vary speed nicely, for example when the brodozer in the next lane splashed water all over the screen.
I did like the e46 one switch up for auto on the stalk and leave it system but the rainsensign and speed adjusting wasn’t nearly as good.

The e34 wasn’t automatic but it had a feature that doesn’t exist anymore, user programmable intermittent delay.
Flick them on, then off then on again to first position and it would keep that same timed delay when driving. It also slowed the delay when stopped. Was pretty nice system.

Must've been updated. Pre LCI has a button at the end of the stalk that turns on auto. But once the car is turned off and on again it defaults to being off.
