First pic looks good. Second pic really does look like you're trying too hard, imo. :/

I like the top pic; the 2nd looks too low..but it's what ever the OP wants. My car scrapes driveways at stock height unless you do the import scene maneuver and go up at an angle. I'd be scared I'd rip the fascia off on something as low as Pic 2 shows. Forget about bump stops, a street dip would instill fear........

First pic is the way to go when driving. Second pic just leave it for show, that's it.

I think coilovers are looking good for me...I may end up going that path. Seems like a more logical decision than air. |

I was considering that one before I started looking around and found some other ones that are close to that but then I won't have the same one as everyone else. I want something different!

I never liked lowering. It looks cool, but the prospect of scraping my bumper on every speed bump and driveway is not appealing to me.
In that second pic the tires look like they're under the fenders, can you even turn the wheel when they're like that? Seems like they would bind up on the fenders. |

I wouldn't pay attention to the people with negative comments about your car, I think it looks great (a little biased as mine is AW also) but I hear the same stuff all the time I am a 26 year old banker so most of the people I work with are twice my age. They all think I am "ruining a bmw" lol.

If you want to tuck all around, you're making a lifestyle choice. You have to pick/plan your routes carefully, always check to see if the routes you take regularly are having any road work/repairs done, etc. You're going to rip off bumpers, lips, fender liners, etc. It's part of the fun/experience, but if you have a nicer/more expensive ride, it can be a headache.
Ideally you can get the best of both worlds with air - get a ride height that's comfortable, and then air it down to tuck tire/wheel when you're parked. But be prepared to at least spend $3-4k on a decent kit. All of my cars have been lowered going back 10+ years and I just always end up going with coils. Best of luck with the modding. It sure is fun. |

I'm just going based off the first few comments that were overly sarcastic but not here to argue with peoples opinion just encouraging another enthusiast! I like my car lowered so I guess its just based off taste I have not had any issues with having my car lowered. I've seen some Hondas near scraping though and they seem to make it lol
