Anyone else keep Detail Spray in their trunk?

Or am I just crazy?

I washed my car last night and of course on the way to a meeting this morning I get behind a truck throwing dirt. I backed way off, but still my hood, bumper, and windshield were covered with little specs of mud.

After my meeting I pulled out the detailer and microfiber cloth; then cleaned off the car. It made me feel so much better after! (I am really not that OCD, just pissed my car got dirty that quick!)

Ditto, tend to use after bird bombs or a couple of days after a wash to maintain the clean car look as long as possible

I have a bottle in my trunk and my wife's trunk, as well as a stack of microfiber towels.

I keep a spray bottle of detailer in the trunk for spot cleaning bird droppings or drip marks. I do not usually wipe down whole panels between washings. There is also glass cleaner (just say no to gas station squeegees) and Cockpit Premium interior cleaner in the trunk too...

I used to, but the past few cars I've cared a lot less. I don't show them any more, and they live on the city streets. They're gonna get dirty, scratched and beat up, so I just don't care anymore.

I keep a small bottle of water, quick detailer, and MF towels. I first use the water to carefully clean the area then the quick detail to finish it.

I keep QD and Microfibers in my trunk, as well as glass cleaner.

I personally only would use QD in an emergency situation like bird poop tho, or something else that can't wait until the next wash, as I am sure that cleaning with QD only will lightly scratch your paint.

I used to think the same thing, but professionals use it. If you have a good wax job on your car, and you use enough just like when you clay bar; you should be OK. I've been using it for years now.

I prefer something like UWW or diluted ONR in a spray bottle for that kind of stuff.

I keep the wash and wax version of ONR in my trunk. Might consider Opti-Clean since it's a waterless wash. I think waterless wash solutions have more lubricity and safer than QDs, which are meant for light dust and fingerprints.

ONR is what I was referring to when I mentioned I had "quick detailer" in my trunk. Since it don't really use it as a detail spray per Se, ONR is a good choice for me to keep in the trunk.

Yeah I'd tend to agree, the waterless wash solutions should technically be much better for cleaning off bird crap or something else that requires immediate removal.

Same here. Street parking in Manhattan is no joke. I got opti coat pro put on along with xpel film which helps minimize chips, and dirt buildup, but my cars only look clean about a total of 3 months out of the year. If I'm lucky.

I would advice to use only in emergency like bird droppings or chemicals as continued use with microfiber will eventually lead to marring and scratching of the paint work, regardless if you have nanocoating, sealant, or basic wax

Due to this thread I just ordered waterless car wash from Amazon. That will now be in my trunk. Ha! Thanks guys!
