LED Reverse Light... Anyone have some installed?

I am interested in changing out the reverse lights to high power LEDs. Have anyone done this?

First bmw, and haven't touch any of the leds and light stuff. Not to familiar with the error free stuff. Also would a high power 5w LED reverse light be too hot for the reverse housing. I have high power reverse in all the other cars its so nice and bright when i back up.

CREE leds get extremely hot thats why they have heatsinks on them.
its not the LED that gets hot its the transformer.
CREE LED's are known to melt themselves if left on for too long without proper cooling.

Does your flicker. Mine came and I installed it and they flicker when I start the car and also randomly while driving. Looking to get some that don't flicker. The ones I got said error free also.

Here's a link to how it flickers on the car. http://youtu.be/RAZ0plYOr5A

Yup mine flicker. flickered in my E90 so i didnt expect it to not flicker in and F30 as well.
Thats your error check working. It passes a small current though the bulb and checks if theres a voltage difference. if there isnt it assumes that the bulb does not work and will give you an error code.

because the LED bulbs use so little current, it will flicker during error check process.

ok i understand that part... but mine flickers while driving too... i was on 45 mile drive, friend drove behind me he said he flickered randomly throughout the drive. You might want to get someone to check if your flicker while driving. Or maybe leave car running for a while and see if it does.

Mine flickers like that too
light checking happens constantly in our cars
only way to fix it is to disable light check through coding

i know that you can
but i dont know which one turns it off
its under FEM_BODY if you have any local coders they can have a look for you
but there's a lot of parameters in there.
