Halogen to xenon for f30

Hi everybody; any thoughts on replacing halogens with xenons for 2013 F30 330D msport? haven't tried dealer yet but HID kits installation looks complicated and time consuming.
Thanks

Do you mean changing the headlight units for oem xenon ones, or aftermarket hid bulbs/ballasts?

Thanks for the reply.

Changing to OEM xenons preferable. HID kits not sure about software changes etc. Car is only year old, so would prefer dealer if they offer. Is that the most hassle free way to go. Although understand dealer may not offer service; havent checked with local

did you do any searching at all before posting this? there are at least 100 threads related to this. check the stickys above for the only way to retrofit oem xenons. it is certainly complicated and requires coding. aftermarket ballasts and bulbs is the simple way to get xenon, but doesn't look anything like factory.

Results

End result after 3 weeks of search.

BMW dealer unable to help out. Reasons: New model, headlight assembly replacement will void warranty, also not suitable for xenon, software clash etc. Where I live MOT failure is an issue, as washers will need to be installed. Cant find any local workshops who are confident of embarking on this venture- reason, F30 is a new model etc.

Options seem to be just replacing bulbs to Osram or Philips blue look. Althought still havent given up looking for any capable aftermarket BMW specialist garage who might give it a go.

DIY is not an option as wouldnt have a clue.

If you're going to go Xeon go with projectors. Xeons are too bright for reflectors (used with halogen bulbs). You can get blue tinged bulbs that will also work with halogen reflector units
