Plasti-Dipped "diffuser" on non m-sport bumper

Hey all, I know there might be a lot of you guys out there that have non m-sport f30 that want a contrasted look on your bumper.

I must admit I should probably invest on an m-sport kit for my car soon, but as for now, this is all I can afford... a 3$ can of plasti-dip and a roll of black whiteboard tape to clean up the edges lol.

Overall, it looks decent, well worth the >$10 and 1 hr of time I put into it -- not the worst thing you can do to your car. Also, you won't notice any blemishes at all until you're about a feet away from the car.

Anyway, I know how much everyone LOVES plasti-dip, so enjoy =]

(2nd pic is without the tape, 3rd & 4th is finished product).

Pictures 3 and 4 look pretty nice. Plastidip is a great temporary solution.

Props for trying something different!

gloss black vinyl wrap should do the trick, I like it. Looks a lot cleaner than the rather fussy M sport rear bumper.

Looks fantastic. How did it hold up long term? Peeling off, scratches, etc.? Does the heat around the exhaust cause any problems with plastidip?

I've been considering doing this (with vinyl or actual painting) for a while. I don't think the m-sport rear its that great, and definitely don't want to drop the $$ to convert that section.

Thanks for sharing this, OP. It looks great and I will likely go this route when I do my front and side skirts.

If you guys want to make it glossy you should go buy autodip, its a vinyl spray paint just like plasti dip, but it holds bettter and doesn't fade into brown after a while. I did it to my rims and i loved it, now im doing bronze, so lets see how people like this .
