So, is there still going to be a documentary? The BMW USA facebook #Un4gettable (https://www.facebook.com/hashtag/un4gettable), seems to imply that the idea of a documentary was only to get you guys interested in driving the 435i.

"Two #BMW fans, two coasts. Nate and Rashed thought we were making a documentary on BMW Super Fans. Instead we surprised them with the all-new #BMW4Series for the weekend."

Confused?

It looks like they are just trying to find social-media active dudes to smother with BMW freebies and love, so you can go to your followers and spread their gospel and indirectly get interest in their product, no? Well, it worked, because here we are talking about it and bimmerpost.com home page just featured your thread! Sweet!

BMW is so clever in generating market interest. This is a first that I'm hearing of them going through this process.

If you're implying that there was some sort of collusion between Rashed and BMW NA regarding falsely pitching this as a documentary, I can tell you that absolutely is not the case. When the advertising agency initially contacted me directly to participate with Rashed, they told me they were producing a documentary - they indicated I would get free access to the track at Summit Point, but at no point did they mention having a 4-series to drive. When Rashed initially contacted me about this event, he also told me that he wanted to include me in the documentary. The advertising agency did not mention to Rashed that they had the car to drive until the very last minute last Saturday - at which point I was also contacted by my good friend and sales rep at BMW of Sterling, making me aware that I should absolutely go to Summit Point, as there would be a surprise for us there. The advertising agency also was very clear that there would be a big social media push as well. It was a GREAT time, and I will post up some additional pictures soon

No I didn't mean that lol. I wanted to know if the OP still thinks it is a documentary only, since the blurb on Facebook says you guys thought it was a documentary only. But now I know.

I'm looking forward to more pics of that MG beauty that you will be posting up

I just wanted to make sure you didn't think Rashed was up to some shady business : ) - he's a straight-up guy and one of the best people I know. KBS even apologized about being so cryptic leading up to the weekend, but they wanted it to be a big surprise to him. We were well aware of being 'used' for social media buzz once the car was delivered - but it was well worth it, and these folks treated Rashed like royalty (and were very good to me as well).
