I ordered mine on Jan 28th and production began on Feb 2nd. CA tells me it is scheduled to be completed around Feb 10th and she expects it to be here ( in DC) by the beginning of March.

I think the timeline took longer for earlier orders because production and shipping was geared toward initial dealer stock. Also, production efficiency was expected to increase (raising daily build numbers) near the end of the 1st quarter. Orders now to the east coast should be to the dealership between 30-45 days at this point.

I ordered mine officially around January 9 or 10. Production started Feb 1, and the 800 number claims it is scheduled to be completed tomorrow Feb 9. My dealer also originally told me early March delivery here to the Philadelphia area.

Anyone know how long it usually takes for the vehicle to get from the factory to Bremerhaven? I'm trying to determine when I should start bugging my dealer about getting the name of the ship its coming over on.

Nice! I just called the number and it also said mine was in the body shop scheduled to end production tomorrow.

I think yours may not be representative of current orders since it was part of the initial batch. Previous timelines have been more compressed than yours.

Mine entered production, but is there any way to tell exactly what date it went into production? It doesn't seem to say...

If you talk to your CA they can tell you the exact date production started and what phase your car is currently in. Stopped by the dealership this afternoon and was told that mine was painted today and is on track to be completed on the 10th, as originally scheduled. I looked at the screenshot and its pretty impressive how much detail the dealership has available in terms of vehicle status - much better than the mybmw site.

Exactly the same here, although it went into production a day later. I wonder if we'll be on the same boat, even if so, you'll probably have your car a month before me lol

Update: car arrived at prep center in SC on 2/10/2012, left prep center 2/14/2012, scheduled to arrive in Dallas 2/17/2012. I'll probably pick up the car 2/20/2012.

How long until they bring it to port from factory?

Assembly and completion today! How long does it take to get to bremerhaven after production is complete?

They go by rail and in the past my orders took 2-5 days to get to the port.

Mine's on the boat! Found out after calling my dealer and getting the VIN from them. Searched it on the WW site and voila!

Ordered 1/10
Start Production 2/1
End Production 2/9
Left Factory 2/10
Left Bremerhaven 2/15 (Turandot)
Arrive New York 2/29 (Scheduled)
Arrive Dealer ?

I should note that MyBMW still hasn't updated to say its enroute, but I'm guessing that's normal. Wallenius Willhelmsen says it was received on Turandot about 2.5 hours before it left Bremerhaven yesterday.
