BMW M Performance Exhaust for 328i for sale in USA

I plan on getting this ASAP!

One thing I have not learned yet about it is what kind of system it is? I assume axle back?...

well seeing as BMW hasn't offficially released it here in the US, I would be curious to see what would happen if you ordered it. I can't wait to hear this thing in person

And yes it is an axle back system

Holy Crap Batman!! I like the sound of it. I also like the Magnaflow system. It's cat back also with a lifetime warranty and less costly. I hope BMW has enough ambition to at least compete with that. Especially if all we are getting an axle back system.

I'm curious: why are folks willing to spend that kind of money for an axle back system? The performance gains, if any, are likely to be negligible so basically you're spending $1K for better sound. I was all about getting this until I found out that it was axle back only. Decided to wait to see what the market bears and get something when I get back to the States next summer. Not knocking anyone for getting this; you like what you like and you should get what makes you happy, just curious as I stated before.

probably due to it being a BMW product. although I think its expensive for an axle back, it also seems to be one of the cheapest options available right now. guess you have to determine how much real performance gains you will get from just a cat back and determine if its worth the extra cash.

I read from someone posting in this forum that our stock piping is 3 in. or near 3 in. piping. So even with an axleback and tune we can still get some sort of power out of it plus it would be less restrictive than the stock one.

Arrow exhaust valve

Is it going to have the exhaust valve like the stock system does? If not, what are we supposed to do with the valve motor?

I'm not an expert but i believe you would get a little performance boost since there is potentially less back pressure from the exhaust

I ordered it through the dealership a couple of weeks ago but found out a couple days ago that there was some problem with the order. My friend will keep me updated when I should it come and then I will post vids and pics up!

Bummer! I opened this thread hoping to see more about this exhaust, not the news I was hoping to hear.
